PROJECT: Invitation Design for Annual Fundraiser & Gala Event

Since 1990, The Stonewall Foundation has distributed more than $14 million in grants. Grantmaking from Stonewall’s general fund concentrates on the needs of organizations in the five boroughs of New York, while donor-advised funds support a variety of organizations locally and throughout the country. They returned to Tan Dan Design for the second year in a row to design their annual Stonewall Honors gala invitation. This invitation would go to their extensive donor list and entice everyone to attend the gala, hosted at a gorgeous loft in Soho overlooking Manhattan to honor those who had made significant contributions to the community.

STRATEGY:

• Elegant and classic befitting an annual awards gala.

SOLUTION:

• An invitation was designed to incorporate all the honorees names in lights like an awards show.
• An elegant evening mood was created using an illustration and layout design showcasing New York from above circa the 20′s and 30′s in black and white with classic blue lights.
